Sounds Atlantic
Sounds Atlantic is a podcast heard weekly that is devoted to artists from Atlantic Canada who perform roots and acoustic based music (i.e., traditional, folk, old-time, “Canadiana”/”Americana”, bluegrass, etc.).
Atlantic Canadian artists describe it this way:
Anita Best (trad Newfoundland singer, folk historian and Order of Canada member) refers to this podcast as "the best show for down-home music in all of Canada"...
Wayne Chaulk ("Buddy Wassisname and the Other Fellers") says "Ron's got to be good right - he's got Newfoundland blood!)...and,
Newfoundland and Labrador singer-songwriter Matthew Byrne (solo performer and lead singer/bouzouki player for CBC "Q" host Tom Power's band "The Dardanelles") says "If you're a fan of great folk and traditional music, you'll find it here, where Ron is dusting off old gems and showcasing what's new and exciting in East Coast folk!"

Episode 311: Jim Payne and Fergus O’Byrne Showcase Wooden Boats
Spotlight on Jim Payne and Fergus O’Byrne’s new collaborative release “Wooden Boats”. The project both commemorates their role in the development of the Newfoundland and Labrador fishery, and laments that people are losing sight of the need to acknowledge and celebrate the provinces seafaring industry. “Wooden Boats” also shares rich tales, stories and music from the people who pioneered the country in days gone by.
